Caring Hearts Health Care is proud to announce we recently passed our
state survey (Ohio) with flying colors. Our nurse aide training program is
approved by the State of Ohio. We follow the guidelines set by the OBRA
law of 1987. The OBRA law of 1987 was brought about to provide training to
nurse aides with a set of standards and qualifications in order to improve
care in long term care facilities. It also formed the Patient's Bill of Rights to
assure patients quality care. CHHC keeps current with changes in the
program by attending meetings and closely following changes made by the
State of Ohio.
Caring Hearts Health Care is located in Columbus, Ohio one block south of
Henderson and High. Our clinical site is located off of N. High St. For your
convenience, our classroom and skills lab as well as our clinical site are all
on the bus line. We offer a variety of nurse aide classes and times. Not all
students can attend 2 weeks of Monday through Friday classes. While
others find the 2 week class fits their educational needs. Whether it be our 1
or 2 days (evenings) a week for 5 or 10 weeks or our 2 week class, CHHC
has the class you need. Class times for days are from 9am to 3pm. Evening
class times are from 4pm to 10pm. The program is a total of 75
classroom and clinical hours.
Our program includes learning to care for the basic needs of patients while
allowing them to participate in their care as able. This promotes the patients'
independence and elevates their self esteem. The holistic approach to
patient care is used. This involves caring for the patient's basic, emotional
and spiritual needs. Nurse Aide students learn to care for the patients'
environment by learning how to keep it safe and clean. Also important is
students learn how to lift and turn patients without injuring themselves.
CHHC provides students with individual attention and limits the class size to
promote quality education. The instructors have had years of experience and
are top notch. Our relaxed and respectful learning environment increases
students ability to learn and succeed. Students enter the work force fully
prepared to care for their patients. We want the student to not only pass our
program, but the state written and skills exam also. Both are necessary to
become an STNA or state tested nurse aide. Our goal for our students is to
pass the state test the first time and avoid the extra fees involved in retaking
these tests. These extra fees are $96.00 for both tests. The tests can be
retaken up to 3 times. COME ON IN AND...
